The Standards of Professionalism
Each member of the Independent Computer Consultant Association adheres
to a Code of Ethics. By doing so, the members of the association are
stating to the industry they hold the highest level of professionalism.
The Education
Members of the Independent Computer Consultant Association receive
valuable education in the way of conferences, marketing materials, and
networking.
The association supports its members with forms, contract
support, continuing education, and aids their consultants in finding
resources necessary to complete jobs satisfactorily.
The Insurance Benefits
The Independent Computer Consultant Association offers its members a
variety of insurance programs inclusive of disability, health, dental and
life. There are many liability insurance policies from which to choose.
There are business liability policies, general liability policies, errors
and omissions insurance policies, on the property-off the property
insurance policies, business auto policies, worker's compensation policies
and more.
Every independent computer consultant today knows the value of
having any and all of the policies mentioned.
Membership Dues
Your membership dues vary on the size of the firm. The Independent
Computer Consultant Association is a National Association for computer
consultants.
Local chapters, if organized, cannot exist without the
National Association. The national dues currently are $175.00 for a
one-person firm, $225.00 for a two to nine person firm and $275.00 for a
firm with ten people or more.
The local chapter dues vary from $35.00 to
$100.00 year. All dues are pro-rated at time of initiating membership.
Consulting firms may join on-line. On this web site, there is a public
area that potential clients may use to find a consultant, and there is a
members' only area.
Memberships are also available as Associate members to firms who share
common interest with computer consultants, such as lawyers specializing in
computer law, businesses that sell computer products, accounting firms
providing services to computer consultants and more.
